The Control Center Representative is responsible for monitoring the transport of the FWI client’s cargo from the point of origin to final destination. This is a full-time position with great benefits and great pay. Hours for this shift are 6am – 2pm. We are located in the beautiful Arboretum area, right off Capital of Texas Highway.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Be thoroughly familiar and conversant with all rules, regulations and procedures contained in the Standard Operation Procedures of the Client, as it pertains to their logistic security program

Must have a thorough working knowledge of the FreightWatch proprietary web-based software applications and the ability to navigate said applications

Be thoroughly familiar with the current logistic process of the client and aware of the operations of all Freight Forwarders, Carriers and their Sub-Contractors

Maintain excellent working relationships with ALL client representatives and Carriers used by the client in the conduct of the logistic process

Must be able to communicate with our customer’s carriers and law enforcement officials as the situation requires, must be able to remain calm and on task in the event of actual criminal activity, and must be able to create incident reports about such events

Must be professional and courteous on the phone

Must be thorough in all policy violation investigations

Must be detail-oriented with all data entry attributes in all platforms used

Must escalate all issues appropriately (IT, devices, employee related, etc)

Additional duties as assigned by the Command and Control Center Manager

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedule, activate and monitor the Client’s shipments

Coordination of the Emergency Response Procedure

Emergency Response Incident Reporting

Qualification:

Recognizes customer service (internal and external) as a critical factor in FWI’s success

Effective communicator using e-mails, phone calls, and in-person

Ability to work well in a fast paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service

Advanced ability to multi-task

Accurate data entry skills

Demonstrates initiative, talent, and enthusiasm

Strong MS Office Suite experience including Word, Excel and Outlook

Highly proficient at navigating a web interface

Shows eagerness and a capacity to learn

Ability to work well as part of a team in an ever-changing environment

Able to quickly grasp new routines, training, and explanations

2 years’ experience in a call center/dispatching environment

2 years in security and/or logistics

Willing to work on changing shifts

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent
