Supports the Client Engagement Center (CEC) and corporate Program Management Office (PMO) by leading and directing project management activities of the CEC. Initiatives will include those that drive continuous improvement across all CEC operational processes, functions, tools and technologies as well as initiatives that fulfill on the strategic vision of the CEC and support the establishment of the Global CEC.  Works with CEC leadership and functional managers to implement projects that enhance performance and improve capabilities in order to deliver against business goals. Successfully initiates and executes all CEC projects, monitoring the status of work, and delivering regular updates to senior leadership. Drives evaluation and prioritization of project requests to ensure proper allocation of time and resources to execute on the strategic priorities of the CEC and in an effort to improve continuously the O&M customer experience while increasing total CEC effectiveness and efficiencies while reducing costs.   Collaborates cross functionally with core O&M Project Management Teams to ensure alignment across all corporate functional areas.  Leads and directs a team of project managers and analysts to ensure successful execution of CEC project portfolio.\r
Detailed Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  \r
1.       Leads the CEC Continuous Improvement team of project managers and analysts to deliver the strategic initiatives for the organization, and partners with the Operating VP CEC and Operating VP Program Management to ensure alignment of those initiatives with Owens &Minor corporate goals and objectives.  \r
2.       Leads and directs the planning, prioritization and execution of all CEC related initiatives for both process improvement and strategy fulfillment. Coaches and mentors CI Project Managers and CI Analysts in the planning and implementation of assigned projects. \r
3.       Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics, in partnership with process leaders, to measure the operational performance of the CEC. Works directly with the CEC Leadership Team and Global/Domestic Process Leaders on identifying improvement opportunities in technology, organizational structure and processes that drive improvement.  \r
4.       Works across all the GPL & DPL functions to evaluate improvement opportunities holistically for the CEC and determine through prioritization with the Process Council and VP CEC which ones to pursue and when.\r
5.       Develops and delivers KPI and metrics reporting required to capture and report out operational performance within of the CEC to its leadership, to O&M leadership and to support customer QBRs and communications.\r
6.       Identifies opportunities for improvement and efficiencies through process automation and ensures successful implementation of those initiatives.\r
7.       Creates and presents business cases to secure resources and funding for initiatives. Develops project plans and assembles and manages cross-functional project teams to achieve project goals and objectives. \r
8.       Develops standard processes for intake and prioritization of work and ensures effective planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting of all CEC projects. \r
9.       Monitors status of the portfolio of all projects occurring across the CEC ensuring execution of standard CEC project governance, documentation, requirements, timelines, budgets and resources. \r
10.   Provides regular, ongoing reporting and communications to CEC leadership and PMO office leadership as well as key stakeholders regarding status of CEC project initiatives. Prepares and presents portfolio status reporting to the executive leadership.  \r
11.   Collaborates with other CEC, Home Office and Field Teammates to deliver CEC strategy and continuous improvement projects (i.e., CETs, Support/Transactions Desks, Technology, Finance, Operations, Sales, etc.).\r
12.   Manages, coaches and develops a team of CI project managers and analysts to ensure all improvement initiatives are backed by extensive data analysis and research. \r

Job Requirements Qualifications\r
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  \r
Four year university degree required; Master's Degree preferred\r
Twelve years in process improvement and/or project management related experience\r
Continuous improvement certification preferred (LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.)\r
Life Sciences / Healthcare experience a plus\r
PMP certification preferred\r
Key experience focus areas include: Shared Services, Global Business Services,  Change Management, Continuous Improvement, Process Optimization, Financial Operations, and Customer Service  \r
MS Excel and Access expertise\r
Salesforce.com experience preferred\r
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES: \r
