ATI Millersburg seeks a Continuous Improvement Leader to join our team. The CI Leader is responsible for applying the principles of Lean Manufacturing to improve processes, product quality, and employee knowledge while implementing and standardizing best practices of our business processes.

Specifically, the Continuous Improvement Leader will:

Communicate and support the ATI strategic vision, principals, and annual objectives across the organization

Combine leadership skills with Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience to guide and train employees at all levels of the organization in Lean Manufacturing based continuous improvement.

Develop standards for all aspects of an operation: operator training, incoming material requirements, process parameters, process supplies, equipment condition, task performance, and final product quality requirements.

With input from employees and managers, assist in the identification and implementation of the best practice for each operation or process.

Ensure that appropriate and adequate training of personnel is conducted and maintained.

Identify and eliminate waste in processes and practices.

Facilitate Kaizen events and train employees regarding the benefits of a standardized and disciplined approach to the job.

Audit operations and processes for strict adherence to standard practices.

Assist in the resolution of production, equipment, and systems problems, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Assist in the revision and development of standard work.

Benchmark against other internal and external companies.

Promote culture change, employee engagement, and empowerment in the workforce.

Qualifications

A four-year degree preferably in a technical, engineering, or business discipline and at least 1 year of experience in an industrial setting required. In lieu of education must have a minimum of 8 years demonstrated leadership experience in a safety, supervisory or lead role. An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.

Ability to work well in a team environment

Possess excellent people skills and the ability to establish rapport with all levels of the organization.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to teach others.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Intranet applications required.
