Job Description:

Timely and accurate completion of various Regulatory

Reports (annual, semi-Annual, quarterly, and monthly

Completion and review of Non-financial Heritage

reporting (QOS, SGA’s specialized Reporting, Contact Lists)

Forecasting of regulatory expenses totaling $M (Heritage

only): Commission Assessments, Fed TRS, NANPA, FCC Fee Accrual, CATV (should

this be for all of WIN now?)

Completion and verification of ETC

Certifications to ensure WIN receives $175M in CAF2 support

Create and maintain various access databases as

needed for the regulatory department including access line reporting,

regulatory revenue and expense (by state, legal entity, and jurisdiction), and

answer times.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance

Strong understanding of accounting theory and basic knowledge of accounting functions and internal controls.

Strong analytical and auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile account balances.

Must be proficient with MS Office (Access, Excel, Word, and MS VBA)

 and experience in JD Edwards, Strategy, and Essbase.

The successful candidate will be inquisitive, take initiative, able to work under pressure and have a solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls. 

Position requires strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. 

Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and auditors

Solid problem solving skills and attention to detail 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proactive and ability to work effectively with limited supervision  

Commitments to excellence and high standards

Overtime required

CPA a plus, but not required

Minimum Requirements:

College degree and 5-7 years professional level experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or 9 years professional level related experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
