Consumer Health & Services Compliance is seeking a Business Compliance Officer supporting Aetna Marketing. The candidate will ensure that all functions, operations and activities of Aetna Marketing is conducted in accordance with Company standards for business conduct and integrity and all applicable laws and regulations. The position requires compliance oversight and support to the Agency for the Affordable Care Act Section 1557 Rule pertaining to nondiscrimination in healthcare. In addition, the candidate will be accountable for streamlining legal and compliance review of marketing materials. The Business Compliance Officer will work collaboratively with key business contacts, other members of the Compliance and Regulatory Affairs team, Privacy Office and Legal to identify potential compliance issues and ensure any issues are resolved promptly. The candidate will provide oversight and reporting on key business area compliance deliverables, help ensure the business area supports key compliance initiatives, manages risks identified and executes mitigation plans to minimize those risks.

Fundamental Components:

Oversees compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. Tracks implementation through action plans and maintains documentation of compliance activities. Coordinates and oversees compliance audits, examinations as well as review of marketing materials for compliance. Identifies and analyzes significant laws and regulations, and impact on business operations. Identifies, recommends and monitors company actions for compliance.


Demonstrated compliance/law experience, preferably Marketing compliance experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proven track record managing complex and cross-functional projects.


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
