Compliance Auditor, Senior

Responsibilities:

•Takes a lead role in planning and conducting annual audits for which the Senior Auditor is responsible

•Performs upfront project planning, including the definition of audit scope and audit work programs and coordination with management

•Leads interviews to understand the business process and documents the business process in a set of flowcharts or narratives

•Evaluates the effectiveness of the design of controls for business processes and executes testing of internal controls, identifying exceptions

•Ensures the audit team is kept up to date with potential audit findings during the course of fieldwork

•Assists Director in preparing reports of findings and recommendations

•Builds and maintains good rapport and solid business relationships with control owners/auditees

•Gains understanding of management’s needs and expectations, the ManTech business and industry, and accounting and control systems

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance

• CPA license or currently sitting for exam with at least 2 parts passed

• 4 years of professional work experience in the industry (including at least 2 years specific to financial audit)

• Experience testing SOX/internal controls

• Experience with government contracting accounting preferred

• Proficient knowledge of core business processes (i.e., Accounting, Financial Reporting, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Revenue Recognition, etc).

• Attention to detail and organizational skills are key

• Ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Public accounting experience

• Strong understanding of government contracting industry and cost accounting standards (CAS)

Professional/Soft Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

• Team player

• Ability to retain and apply prior feedback to current work

• Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 4 years of related experience in auditing, accounting or contracts including three years of specialized subject matter expertise experience for project work.
