What you will be doing

Designing and providing recommendations for gas storage well completions, developing procedures, cost estimates, and other documentation related to well workovers and drilling activity

Working with field operations during the duration of projects, collaborating with the stakeholders to assist with integrated reservoir studies and well reservoir simulation modeling strategies that conform to the objectives set for each project

Evaluate and design workovers, assist in developing capital and production budgets, provide project leadership, develop and monitor well test schedules and data collection, help monitor and address well production optimization and seek opportunities for production improvement

Serve as the primary point of contact for all well activities and will coordinate with field operations to schedule well work and oversee the implementation and completion of projects

Design and implement field management plans related to reservoir surveillance

Lead or provide recommendations for all major gas storage well workover and drilling projects and develop associated scopes of work

Develop and apply key reservoir management practices for better utilization of all active storage and production fields

Provide guidance to Storage Field Supervisors on safe and reliable utilization of the storage fields

Research, understand, and interpret cost drivers and risks associated with various completion procedures and utilize the appropriate resources to implement safe and efficient completions of new and existing wells

Participates in reservoir simulation studies with the reservoir engineer especially during periods of data analysis and model preparation

Supports company operations during time of increased need, such as large customer gas or electric outage events

Monitor performance against schedule projections, planning and cost to make solid recommendations for achieving workover or drilling related goals

Develop operational guidance for maximizing withdrawal of storage assets while minimizing costs

Contributes knowledge to long range planning processes and helps improve well downtime as well as identify upcoming well logging opportunities related to corrosion or data development needs

Manages documentation of results and actively seeks improvements to management of team's working data

Provides analysis, selection and implementation of new software products, services, and solutions that enable the knowledge base of reservoir data and management into the company

What you bring

A Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering in an ABET accredited program

Career ladder associated to the role so we are interested in candidates that range from at minimum 2 years of experience to experienced professionals

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) as well as Avocet and OFM programs to help the team with data management strategies

Strong petroleum production and completions background

Working knowledge of interpreting and recommending appropriate cased hole logs

Working knowledge of evaluating well performance and prioritizing storage field maintenance around achieving the maximum efficiency out of the field while also analyzing the economic impact and risk assessments of major development programs

It would be awesome if you have:

Master’s degree in engineering or associated field

Additional bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

4 years of completions and production engineering experience related to natural gas, natural gas fields or tertiary flooding as a production engineer is a plus
