Primary Function

Under direct supervision, has responsibility for the support and administration of all compensation programs. The incumbent will process insurance and pension paperwork, maintain the job catalog, conduct system audits, perform data entry and provide other system maintenance. The incumbent will prepares invoice for employee benefits such as COBRA. The compilation of statistical data regarding benefits and job related market data will be an additional expectation of this job. He/she may also handle HR-related inquiries regarding benefit eligibility.


Job Description Preparation:

Researches external online or company job description sources in order to draft basic job descriptions for a starting point when reaching out to managers for position profile summaries.

Support the development of job descriptions and maintain job description listing/catalogs by ensuring position profiles are kept current and accurate.

Report Preparation and System Analysis:

Conducts System audits and submits paperwork to correct errors. Assists with the organizational management SAP ticketing / maintenance process.

Provides updates to the information stored on AOS Net.

Prepares reports such as organization, flow charts and career path models to summarize job analysis, evaluation and compensation information.

Develops job analysis materials, documentation and confirmation summaries.

Performs intermediate financial, statistical and operational studies to substantiate business decisions using knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies.

Benefit Administration:

Work with employees and surviving spouses of employees who are eligible for a pension benefit to confirm pension calculations, gather required documentation and process pension benefits

Provide customer support either by telephonic or written correspondence to retirees and other former employees to resolve pension issues, to field HR for employee questions and to financial institutions to verify pension income, upon request

Maintain pension population by processing employment terminations through the plan and conducting periodic searches for participants and beneficiaries that have died

Maintain electronic records using document management software

Provide support for periodic regulatory mailings to plan members, including Summary Annual Reports, Funding Notice and others

Salary Survey Benchmarking:

Analyzes employee data to match company positions to salary survey positions. Submits this information to external salary survey sources.

Interfaces with HR and managers to understand job content and confirm survey matches. Performs ad hoc salary benchmarking for new positions and recalibration of existing positions.

Uses online and downloaded salary survey data to perform salary benchmarking.

Performs analysis using total compensation benchmark data on large employee groups. Prepares report of total compensation benchmarking results for company leadership review.


Incumbent will support a variety of HRIS and process systems including, but not limited to SAP, Success Factors, T Express Options and Share works.

Partner with business lines to facilitate process and application enhancements, participating in the application testing phase of new project implementations.

Other HR, Benefits or Compensation projects and duties may be assigned as necessary.


College Degree in business, or related field preferred

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook

Good organizational and time management skills

Ability to keep the integrity of confidential information

Basic analytical and mathematical skills

Strong attention to detail


High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience

Minimum of 1 year related work experience
