Events managers are in charge of shaping, planning and executing some of Google's highest profile events nationwide. As a member of the team, you work closely with the B2B and B2C Marketing teams to manage strategic programs, find creative solutions to projects and help connect users and clients to our products and technologies. You oversee all aspects of event management and production from content and program development, design, AV production, vendor management, logistics, invitations, sponsorships, promotions and more. Not only do you help conceptualize and produce events, but you also come full circle to use your analytical skills to conduct post-event reporting and ROI analysis to measure your programs for effectiveness. Your organizational skills, project management skills and creative flair all find their place in this role.

As a Community Engagement Manager for Grow with Google, you are a pioneer who brings economic opportunity programs to high priority cities in the United States. You will quickly learn everything you can about your cities and their community organizations, small businesses, and educational institutions, so that Grow with Google can succeed locally.

You will manage the local relationships, coordinating across Grow with Google programs to ensure that local partners have the support they need and internal stakeholders have the go-to-market support they need. Throughout all of this, you will work closely and collaboratively with a cross-functional team including Policy, PR, Marketing, Legal, Product and Engineering (from the Grow with Google partner programs).

You have a track record of successfully building and implementing local partnerships and mobilizing influential community groups. You are a leader, multi-tasker, creative problem solver and scrappy go-getter.

Responsibilities

Deploy Grow with Google programs in high priority cities, in support of overall Grow with Google goals and objectives. Ensure all efforts drive demonstrable impact, package and communicate results and key learnings.

Recruit partners and manage key day-to-day working relationships with local organizations, key businesses, schools and government leaders.

Cultivate local allies to become champions for Grow with Google, and work across Policy, PR, and Marketing teams to amplify success stories.

Propose, negotiate, and execute innovative partnerships that enable successful deployment of Grow with Google programs.

Communicate and collaborate with a broad range of internal partners. Work with program teams to tailor their program for local markets.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of professional experience in non-profit management, community organizing, coalitions, field campaigns, advocacy.

Preferred qualifications:

Demonstrated experience working in/with historically underserved communities.

Demonstrated track record of building and implementing strategic social impact initiatives at the local and national levels.

Proven and applicable skills in creating innovative partnerships and mobilizing communities.

Ability to effectively operate with enthusiasm and flexibility in a fast-paced, evolving team environment, and ability to navigate through ambiguity.

Self-motivated, results oriented leader with strong organizational and project management skills, demonstrated roll up your sleeves, can-do attitude.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders across businesses and leadership levels.
