ROLE SUMMARYThe Clinical Program Manager will provide on a day to day basis leadership, vision, and direction in planning, developing, implementing, and managing the operations of the Health & Wellness    program. Manage the delivery off services, quality and efficiency by monitoring and adjusting operating procedures and practices in order to achieve program goals including engagement, and the deferred progression of disease.   Provide direction to operations staff in order to ensure adherence to operational protocols, evidence-based best practices and to Cigna People Strategies. Develop strategies and specific plans for enhancement of operations and services, as needed, to meet marketplace demands for quality improvements, productivity and medical cost mitigation. Modify existing operations and develop new protocols based upon expert knowledge of health and wellness industry.

A day in the life of a Clinical Program Manager may include:The Clinical Program Manager will contribute to the achievement of excellent clinical outcomes, the integrity of the program and overall product profitability by ensuring the ongoing evaluation and delivery of program services.. The Clinical Program Manager will be:*Responsible for the day to day management of the program to drive maximum effectiveness and efficiency and the incorporation of ongoing quality improvements * Coordinate and guide the delivery of consistent clinical and coaching services in accordance with program service standards. * Establish and communicate service standards and practices to Health & Wellness  operations.  * Ensure appropriate customer access to high quality, professional services. * Identify & execute on efficiencies to operational, network, and administrative tasks.* Direct interdepartmental staff meetings, to monitor and improve on clinical and network activities.* Interface with matrix partners in order to foster and improve integration and the overall health care experience of the individual. * Partner with quality management department to build, review and assess the efficacy of the quality management program(s). * Support sales initiatives * Consult with sales and marketing to effectively communicate the results of and improvements made due to the quality management program. * Develop and maintain effective working relationships with appropriate internal customers and departments in order to optimize organizational growth and profitability.','!*!

* RN Preferred

* Five plus years post-masters clinical experience* Masters prepared in a Health Sciences field * Knowledge of health advocacy and wellness programming, protocols, trends and philosophy. * Knowledge of clinical care management programs and services. * Must be familiar with quality management principles and processes.* Experience in a managed care environment* Proven track record of strong leadership, team-building experience, and demonstrated decision-making abilities* Experience in strategic planning and business development* Demonstrated ability to motivate, develop, and coach employees* Experience in analyzing & reporting on utilization management and unit cost trends* Knowledge of current theory and practice in mental health/substance abuse treatment and care management* Demonstrated skills in customer service, leadership, decision-making, and oral and written communication* Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively relate to employees at all levels* Maintains and enthusiastically portrays an optimum level of conscientiousness for the growth and profit of Cigna
