We're seeking a Clinical Informatics System Architect for a FTE opportunity located in Baltimore, MD. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for developing, planning, testing, and implementing systems to transform operations and clinical data, as well as perform analysis in order to provide meaningful information to support operations, HSCRC regulatory requirements, quality and safety improvement. The Financial Informatics System Architect is able to recommend and implement information systems to collect data that will be used for the different reporting needs of the organization. The Financial Informatics Systems Architect is able to manipulate all types of information and uses sophisticated data analysis methods to create reports.COMPETENCIES:Education: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Management or project management. Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted for the degree on 2 years of experience for 1 year of education basis .i.e. 8 years. Master’s Degree Preferred. Knowledge: Requires a thorough knowledge of health care and hospital business operations.
Requires knowledge and understanding of the interrelationship of business process and Information Systems applications.
Requires a thorough knowledge of data warehouse and data management principles and processes and database development.
Understands the range of options and best practices for common ETL design techniques such as change data capture, key generation and optimization, and performance tuning.
Significant experience with data quality, data profiling, metadata management and reporting.
Experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Strong proficiency in SQL programming, query writing, query performance tuning, and database technologies.
Knowledge of medical coding systems, i.e. ICD9, CPT, HCPCS, ACGs is desirable
Ability to distill and articulate technical and organizational approach to clinical data needs. Demonstrated experience in strategic guidance and project creation for data warehousing and business process automation.
Skills: Goal oriented and action-focused, pragmatic and self-disciplined, organized with ability to facilitate and interact effectively with upper levels of management.
Ability to plan, organize, direct, implement and evaluate processes to lead projects and manage resources to achieve desired result.
Strong SQL, analytical, and computational skills.
Ability to convey technical methods, approaches and plans to audience of varying degrees of technical understanding including clinical and business stakeholders and technical team.
Ability to manage long-term client and vendor relationships, including resolution of production issues and upgrades, to help future product development better to meet the needs of the organization.
Demonstrated command of server side web technologies and languages
Demonstrated command of client side web programming
Ability to develop operations planning and clinical reports using enterprise level reporting packages (Tableau, Business Objects).
Preferred Experience with the following databases and codebases: oracle (9i, 10g) , MS SqlServer (2005 and up), MySQL, Db2, Sybase, Informatica, SSIS, Java, C, C , PHP, Perl, Microstrategy, IIS, SharePoint.
Preferred Experience administering the following software packages and operating systems: Informatica, SSIS, Sharepoint, Tomcat, Unix, Microstrategy, IISRequired Licensure, Certification, Etc.: Epic Clarity Certification PreferredWork

Job Requirements
Requires demonstrated experience in project management or management as acquired during 5 - 10 years of progressive experience.
5-7 years of experience with ETL tools and ETL programming.
3 years of experience designing ETL solutions for data migration or data integration.
1-2 years of SQL Server experience. 4 years of SQL development, 2 years SSIS or DTS experience, 1 years SSRS required.
Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities where ambiguity can be high.
Must be a fast learner with a can-do attitude and have strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving
Experience with CRM or PSA systems.
Experience working with external vendors.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
