Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM


Five years experience as a Med/Surg or ED Nurse preferred. Two years CDI experience preferred. Excellent computer/report/data analysis skills. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Current NYS RN License required. BSN required.


Provides training and education of CDI staff regarding their duties/  responsibilities. Monitors query rates for each CDI staff and develops reports to monitor department activities. Provides education to Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and Residents on documentation as a quality metric.  Innovates the CDI program to embrace new technology (such as M-MODAL) and CDI capture methods. Attends Interdisciplinary Rounds as necessary. Works closely with Health Information Management staff to ensure coding accuracy. Reviews all Patient Safety Indicator (PSI) cases for documentation and coding accuracy. Keeps Physician Advisors informed of CDI issues. Responsible for hiring, scheduling the staff, assists with performance evaluations and leading staff meetings.
