Co-brand is a newly formed organization within CRS and is charged with building CRS’ prowess across a number of disciplines to deliver business model expansion and revenue growth. To affect this, the team is focused on key responsibilities/capabilities as follows; 1.) Co-Brand Product and Loyalty; 2.) Co-Brand Marketing; 3.) Co-Brand Product Integration and Assimilation.

The Co-Brand Marketing team’s mission is to align overall Co-Brand strategies, including Upgrades & Activation programs, Engagement Strategies and Balance Growth initiatives across the organization, as well as development of new strategies to grow external sales.

This specific VP, Co-Brand role will focus on omni-channel cardmember acquisition programs to add new accounts and grow receivables and revenue, while delivering significant return to the business. Core responsibilities include, (1) ownership of campaign strategies, including communication sequencing, segmentation and offers to drive new account acquisition, (2) management of creative agency to develop best-in-class marketing communications, (3) driving initiatives and campaigns to market for multiple Partners through partnership with cross-functional teams, (4) assess performance and share learnings, and (4) develop long-term core strategies to support automation of champion strategies, while continuing to test and learn to ensure best-in-class offerings in market.

Keys to success in this role include:

Strong partnership and collaboration skills with core teams, including Partner Management, Credit Risk, Decision Management, Marketing Operations, Finance, IT and others on day-to-day basis

Ability to act as a product & process owner, while partnering and leading various teams to oversee flawless campaign management and transparent processes

Co-Brand footprint growth including channel optimization, targeting/population opportunities and leading new initiatives from ideation to project prioritization

Key Responsibilities & Collaborative Points

Be a Growth champion within the business

Oversee end-to-end Co-Brand Acquisitions playbooks, including regular updates to maintain integrity and identify gaps, across various channels, partners and platforms requiring strong knowledge of financial services, marketing acumen, along with process and executional awareness to ensure necessary oversight and accountability throughout the complex organizational flow

Institute continual process improvements to provide a positive customer experience and foundation for growth

Lead regular campaign strategies, overseeing strategic development and successful implementation

Explore new initiatives, including testing offers, targeting & messaging cadence

Partner with Portfolio teams to fully understand partner needs and work to identify expansion opportunities

Identify and leverage industry, Citi and Retail Services best practices across portfolios, sharing findings and opportunities across the organization

Lead creative strategy and test new methodologies for optimal messaging, offer presentation, and channel delivery

Collaborate with digital team to drive incremental account growth through low-cost online channels

Partner with Citi Brands colleagues to share best practices and ensure alignment across businesses

Work with internal Research & Insights team and utilize Comperemedia and other tools to effectively monitor competitive landscape

Act as business owner to identify and resolve issues for Co-Brand Acquisitions concerns, working closely with cross-functional teams on specific action items and deliverables

Partner with Co-Brand platform associates to implement necessary systems projects to support growth and ensure Co-Brand Acquisitions platforms remain intact with future IT releases

Manage an annual financial budget for applicable programs

Monitor process control points and governance requirements

Ensure adherence to all business and regulatory requirements, including Legal, Fair Lending, Risk, and Compliance

Qualifications

Business and Technical Requirements

10 years of experience working within co-brand or general purpose credit card industry, with a recent/relevant focus in acquisitions marketing

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA in Business, Marketing or Marketing Management preferred

Requires deep understanding of the business and how best to optimize the use of internal and external resources as well as cross-functional teams

Strong team player; ability to lead, partner and negotiate with cross functional team to successfully deliver results

Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize and manage projects

Ability to lead cross-functional team (including Partner, Operations, Decision Management, Finance, IT)

Specific knowledge of co-brand or general purpose credit card financial performance drivers with strong analytical skills

Presentation and exerting influence. Candidate will interact with all levels of the organization and needs the ability to effectively influence and present work to senior management ,while at the same time drive the day to day marketing efforts
