The Certification Lead will be responsible for facilitating and managing the certification application process through the three critical phases, application generation, submission, and approval.   The Certification lead will be responsible for all required internal and external certification documentation to support application generation and updates for both new model introduction and current model running changes.  This position will interface with cross-functional teams throughout the organization communicating application requirements, content, schedules, and status.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Calibration release documentation: Running Change, CN/CR, PCIL, AECD
MY Certification Packages
Uploading calibration files to production server/EERS tables
Certification application generation meetings
Certification application development timing
Running change assessment documentation
Certification and Compliance team interface and single point of contact for application content
EPA/CARB QnA response documentation

The Certification lead position will be located at Lisle within the Certification and Compliance Team.  There are minimal to no travel requirements with this position however occasional representation at MLP may be requested.
Position Purpose and Requirements
Provides technical and analytical support to Product Development Engineering. May provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members. Refers problems that cannot be resolved to the next level. Serves as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement may last throughout all stages of a product\u2019s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.
Basic Requirements: 

Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
At least 5 years experience in product design/development
At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities


Master\u2019s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
At least 3 years experience in product design/development
At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities


PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology
At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities

Additional Requirements

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Possess good technical communication and writing skills as they will be a primary interface to various Government agencies for Navistar certification applications and reviews. 
Able to demonstrate a high level ethical and technical decision making ability in accordance to certification regulatory standards and regulations.

Desired Skills:

Strong intrapersonal skills and knowledge of both the Navistar NPD process and EPA/ARB certification application submission and review process.
