Description:

The individual will be the technical lead for the Hot Section Engineering (HSE) Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) development team. You will be responsible for integrating design, structures, and durability requirements and activities within the product development team to model the underlying physics for each discipline. You will also be responsible for leading the development of analytical criteria and standard work for the application of Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) in Hot Section components. The individual will have demonstrated expertise in thermal and structural analysis of composite structures, non-linear static and dynamic analysis, and damage tolerance analysis. The multidisciplinary team is responsible for developing state-of-the art pre-processing, meshing, and analysis strategies to enable broad design space exploration for the study of various CMC designs and architectures.

Qualification:

Required Qualifications:

7 years experience in Engineering

4 years experience in Project Leadership, Ceramic Matrix Composites, or Organic Matrix Composites

US Citizenship is required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

7 years engineering experience within multi-disciplines such as Structures, CMC, Durability and/or Design with a desire to be adaptable and flexible.

4 years of analysis experience

Strong engineering team leadership that will enable the transformation of the organization.

Experience/Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools such as Lean Six Sigma, ACE, etc.

Education:

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

Preferred Education:

Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
