As a Strategic

Sourcing Category Manager II of Store Design Materials, you will

dynamically lead the effective execution of category strategy, planning and


You will work directly with visual merchandising, lighting,

signage and materials suppliers on contracts, SOWs and develop

KPIs.  You will identify opportunities to drive value across your

category.  You will be responsible for developing key supplier and

business partner relationships.  You may lead projects at

any point during their lifecycle from developing strategy, crafting a plan to

implement, vendor due diligence, RFx, negotiations, and vendor

management.  The Strategic Sourcing Category Manager on the team will

collaborate closely with various business partners across the company for

their Sourcing requirements.

co-ordination with Gap Inc Technical Services, A&E and Creative Services

teamsCategory scope includes

multiple sub- categories like storefront, lighting, signage, flooring etc.Work with crossfunctional

Develops category strategy

for Gap Inc’s in-store environment, visual merchandising and materialsLeads planning,

implementation, and execution of sourcing strategyProactively identifies and

recommends category sourcing options and partners with leaders to implement

themManages competitive RFXs,

negotiation strategy development, conducting the competitive negotiation

process as neededBuilds relationships and

effectively partners across varied functions with internal stakeholders,

external suppliers, agencies and colleagues to influence change

Strategic Sourcing

knowledge and the ability to regularly leverage industry experts, associations,

peers and stakeholders to identify and benchmark best practicesExperience planning and

leading negotiations a plus. Exceptional verbal, presentation, and written

skillsDemonstrated ability to

effectively handle issues and challenging situationsAbility to travel as

required to facilitate collaborative opportunities 5 to 7 years of experience

in Product strategic sourcing, management consulting or supply chain

management; familiarity with visual merchandising and in-store and out-store
