Job Description The position is in Equitiy Derivatives Trading technology group. Even though this is a technical job, the candidate is required to have sound business knowledge and hand-on experience working with traders. This position is mainly for front-end GUI development of trading, risk and analytics applications. The responsibilities include: Design, develop, implement, test, support and maintain software solutions to meet business requirements. Write functional documents and design technical specifications. Work closely with business users, technology groups, program management, product management, quality analysts on the preparation of test cases. Test software through unit testing, test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification, fixing, and resolution. Maintain full project life-cycle tasks, such as business and technical analysis, designing, coding, testing, and implementation plans. Conduct code reviews with team members to advance application upgrade, extension, or other development. Analyze application for data integrity issues. Maintain all system diagrams, system interface charts and any other compliance policy and procedure documents.
Provide production support to end users with support teams Required Qualifications
5 years of application development experience
3 years of securities industry experience
10 years of C# experience
Desired Qualifications
Advanced experience in capital markets business and processes
Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling
Basic knowledge and understanding of SEC, FNRA, and international regulations for building technological solutions
A BS/BA degree or higher in engineering
Other Desired Qualifications Technical Requirements: BS or MS in Computer Science or related field. 10 years of experience in developing Front-End applications in .NET/C#, WPF/MVVM, WinForms 5 years of hands-on experience in developing Front-End applications in WPF/MVVM 5 years working experience in Financial applications, preferably in Capital Markets/Trading/Risk/Pricing Excellent understanding of memory management, garbage collection, multi-threading and asynchronous programming. Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Technical Requirements: Experience in developing and using WCF services. Good understanding of LINQ Working knowledge of Equities Trading and FIX interface. Experience in full Software Development Lifecycle. Experience in using memory profilers
Business Requirements: Working knowledge of equity and equity derivative (options, futures, etc) securities. Willing to learn about different financial instruments in order to effectively converse with the trading desks.
Other Requirements: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Analytical problem solving skills. Attention to detail and thoroughness a must. Proactive team member with *can-do* attitude
