Merchant Services is a leading provider of payment, fraud and data security for companies large and small and capable of authorizing transactions in more than 130 currencies.The Chase Merchant Services (CMS) Business Engineering group provides centralized prioritization, planning, design, and execution leadership & support for large, complex, technology-dependent programs & projects that cut across CMS business and functional nits. As a key area in the project delivery lifecycle, the Business Testing group partners across CMS business units to define strategies and approaches for QA & User Acceptance Testing activities, as well as setting and stewarding soundquality assurance methodologies. This position requires a strong self-starter who can proactively engage a virtual, cross organizational team without formal direction, and who has senior level interpersonal skills such as negotiation, and analytical/problem solving skills. You will test projects from requirements through post implementation, working within Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Scope of Role & Complexity * Participates in the development of goals and execution of strategies within a function or department* Provide automation support and leadership for large, complex, technology-dependent programs and projects that cut across business and functional areas once implemented * Effective at complex problem resolution and expected to assist in resolving all difficult issues, expanding the solution to include infrastructure, architecture, and multi-tier tools and business system strategies. Role Description* Motivates and inspires team to deliver outstanding results* Ensure comprehensive test coverage exists by understanding the test scope and approach of dependent QA, UAT and Vendor groups* Train full time employees and consultants as needed* Full understanding of RAG status * Responsible for finding testing efficiencies People Management & Leadership* Networks effectively with colleagues * Knowledgeable of the Firm’s HR practices and policies* Effectively prioritizes own work and proactively seeks advice* Sets high standards for self Business Execution* Executes superbly and meets commitments* Acts with a sense of urgency * Proactive, strong attention to details * Drives for results; strong accountability* Escalates issues quickly and helps to resolve; solution focused * Takes into account the impact of expenses Client Focus/Partnership* Responsive and accessible to clients* Exhibits a strong understanding of a client’s business and actively seeks input to anticipate client needs and effectively meets or exceeds them* Collaborates effectively with colleagues* Listens to understand various points of view whether or not she/he agrees Risk & Control* Understands and applies knowledge of role-related risks* Keeps abreast of current regulatory requirements applicable to responsibilities* Acts in shareholder's best interest* Effectively remediates issues by engaging appropriate resources to mitigate risk with a sense of urgency - Bachelors degree in Business or related field- 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Program or Project Management capacity in IT or Business environment; Consumer banking/credit card experience is preferred, but not required.- Working knowledge of Consumer & Community Bank (CCB) IT and its supporting Lines of Businesses strongly preferred- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-line of business projects and initiatives- Extensive experience establishing and managing program/project test strategies and key milestones- Experience with Agile and waterfall software development methodologies- Demonstrated ability to inspire and develop high performing employees- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence change and communicate with diverse stakeholders- Excellent relationship and communication skills, highly collaborative - can build rapport and credibility- A demonstrated bias for action, creative problem-solving, and achieving fulfillment by \creating order out of chaos\- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as effective meeting facilitation and presentation skills- Strong organizational and multitasking skills- Experience managing resources that are geographically distributed and culturally diverse.- Intermediate to advanced with project management skills- Proficient in Microsoft Office application suite and familiarity with Microsoft Project is required- Exceptional project and process management skills- High degree of initiative and autonomy but must be able to function successfully as part of a team (in person and virtual)- Honed consulting, influence, and negotiation skills to achieve desired outcomes- Innovative and creative thinker; able to generate new ideas; forward-thinker; thought-leader- Excellent judgment and decision making- Strong written and oral communication skills- Ability to resolve conflict & facilitate decision-making- Flexible, process-oriented, organized, with excellent analytical & troubleshooting skills- Able to manage time effectively, prioritize and escalate appropriately- Strong attention to detail, follow-through and results oriented
