Requisition Summary

Do you have a passion for building amazing customer focused software applications? The PACCAR Leasing IT business technology analyst team is looking for talented, ambitious, self-directed business analysts to lead our projects from conception to launch. If you are eager to empower our business with innovative software systems and have a proven track record of excellence, we have projects waiting for you! As a member of the PACCAR Leasing IT team, your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, helping to define a product vision and strategy, and working with great developers to manage and execute projects.

PACCAR Leasing, a PACCAR division, was founded in 1980 to provide premium Kenworth and Peterbilt vehicles to leasing and rental customers. PacLease is one of the fastest-growing commercial truck leasing companies in the transportation industry. With independent and company-owned locations throughout the United States and Canada, PacLease provides customized full-service lease, rental, and contract maintenance programs designed to meet your specific fleet needs.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Gather, interpret, and analyze business requirements from multiple stakeholders, teams, and departments.

Lead projects of moderate to high complexity with teams of 10 or more participants, budgets in the $1M range, and project durations of 7,500 hours or more.

Drive and deliver project results, and challenge the business on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.

Develop project plans and initiation charters.

Build and execute project plans, ensuring conformance to established PACCAR standards and procedures.

Clearly document and communicate the business and system requirements for the development teams.

Risk analysis and mitigation.

Communicate project status and issues to senior management and project sponsors.

Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

Work with the quality assurance and development teams to triage defects and ensure changes are migrated into production correctly.

Acquire and coordinate resources and services from both external vendors and internal teams.

Conduct project management improvement activities.

Provide on-going production support for systems and applications.

Qualifications and Skills

5 – 8 years of demonstrated skills in managing complex projects requiring either package or custom solutions.

Effective consensus building skills.

5 or more years of experience with Agile methodologies, like SCRUM.

Strong teambuilding skills.

In-depth development methodology and system implementation experience.

Strong application of process improvement methodologies.

Effective presentation skills suitable for senior management.

Self-motivated and able to work effectively with little or no supervision.

Excellent organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

BA/BS Degree in Business / Information Technology.

Advanced PM training (i.e. PMP), Master's Degree, Six Sigma certification or training is desired.
