Business Process Improvement Manager

Vein Clinics of America is seeking an experienced Business Process Improvement Specialist to lead process review and performance improvement projects that increase patient flow and system efficiency/capacity in health care within the company. The Process Improvement Specialist will meet the information and performance reporting needs of multiple projects through business process reviews and data collection, management, analysis and reporting.

This position contributes to the execution of the department vision and strategies by identifying and executing improvement opportunities. Leads and facilitates the identification of key measures, data analysis, process improvement, and the implementation of redesigned processes for system clinical and operational functions.

Responsibilities

Facilitates multidisciplinary teams using Lean Six Sigma methodology to evaluate processes and systems, generate alternatives, and make recommendations to reduce waste, increase utilization, reduce costs, improve customer satisfaction, and produce improved financial outcomes.

? Lead process review and performance improvement projects that increase patient flow, system efficiency and/or capacity.

? Manage projects to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within the budget constraints of the project.

? Work with stakeholders to develop business plans and supporting change management strategies.

? Support information needs of projects through data collection/analysis, business process reviews and survey development/analysis.

? Map, analyze, and re-engineer business and information processes.

? Work with project teams and sponsors to develop quality management and performance reporting strategies, plans and systems.

? Provide support during the implementation of the project.

? Assume accountability for the success of assigned projects.

Travel Required

Ideal candidate will reside in IL, however out of state candidates will also be considered

Skills/Requirements

Qualifications

? Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Industrial/Manufacturing preferred.

? Deep understanding of multi-site healthcare operation

? 2-5 years of experience in quality, process improvement, industrial engineering, or business analysis in retail healthcare setting is required

? Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health Administration combined with formal training and/or certification in Performance Improvement Methodologies may be considered.

? Demonstrated experience in leading multiple business process transformation and/or organizational change projects.

? Advanced skills in computer programs MS Office (esp. Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Visio and/or other software applications (MS Project, Minitab).

? Requires strong organization skills; experience with facilitating groups.

? Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

? Demonstrated ability to think in a process / Systems mindset

Preferred Qualifications

? Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Preferred, or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire date

? Experience with SAP.

? Experience in computerized data modeling/simulation.

D. Brian McDonagh , MD received his medical degree from University College Dublin, National University of Ireland. He interned at Tucson Medical Center in Arizona and served his residency in internal medicine and physical medicine/rehabilitation at Wayne State University in Michigan . His interest in vein disease began with his personal affliction and a family history of varicose veins. His search for an effective, non-surgical treatment led him to Ireland , England , Switzerland and France , where he studied multiple versions of injection treatments. Dr. McDonagh founded VCA in Chicago in 1981 and developed extensive experience and a reputation for his non-surgical approach to varicose vein treatment.
