Business Unit

Corporate Information Technology (IT) partners with each division in KLA-Tencor to develop, engage and promote global enterprise solution leading the way with innovations which meet the business’ needs.

IT is responsible for delivering consultative services in support of our world-wide design engineering teams to meet our strategic objectives of bringing new products to market Better, Faster, and Cheaper.

As a part of the development team, your technical leadership is critical for providing solutions to technical and strategic challenges to current and future business processes as well as ongoing functional enhancements.

Responsibilities

Solid understanding of HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, learning, data maintenance, benefits administration or payroll interfaces.

Use hands-on technical knowledge to handle technical analysis, design, development, testing, debugging of PeopleSoft Applications.

Perform detailed technical analysis and capable of documenting functional/technical requirements and system impact to ensure the successful delivery and support of various applications.

Work with business to analyze business processes and system issues and turn them into actionable system changes that benefit the requesting party(s), improve efficiency in operations and overall performance.

Produce documentation to describe custom configuration of applications and operating procedures to liaise with third party application development consultants. Produce technical documentation on project activities.

Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements. Analyze data in corporate databases to identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems.

Provide assistance and advice to business users in effective use of applications and information technology.

Maintain a strong working knowledge of the HRIS architecture, products and versions.

Work with diverse audiences including business key users, end users, highly technical IT professionals, developers and architects

Process large amounts of HR related data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis, reporting results via the most appropriate method for the intended audience.

Develop and implement solutions to integrate data from multiple sources to standardize and automate analytical reporting.

Partner with others within IT and HR organization to create and publish regular reports; develop ad hoc reports with varying detail for different audiences as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of HR systems (PeopleSoft, SumTotal LMS, HANA, Microsoft Power BI or other related systems)

Solid understanding of software fundamentals and knowledge of basic hardware concepts and devices (such as Linux, Java Script, html5, HANA Modeling)

Experience working with confidential information

Self-motivated and fast learning

Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, passion for technology and excellent troubleshooting skills

Accurate and logical problem solving and the ability to work in a team environment

Strong organizational and time management skills

5-6 Years of progressively responsible directly related post-degree experience. Inclusive of 3 Years of experience handling PeopleSoft application development, and 2 years of experience with at least 4 of the following PeopleSoft Technologies: Application Engine, XML Publisher, Component Interface, Integration Broker, PSQuery, Web services.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience. OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience.

KLA Instruments was first established in 1975, with its first product emerging on the market in 1978—an automated inspection system that reduced photomask inspection time from eight hours to 15 minutes.
