Elavon is currently seeking a Business Development Manager, who will be a part of the Union Bank Sales Channel. This is a home-based position, the ideal candidate can live anywhere in California. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new revenue from merchant opportunities with small to mid-market size businesses.

Job Responsibilities

This role is a combination of generated leads from the Union Bank sales channel, non-bank partners, and self-generated leads. Some of your responsibilities will include:

Establish revenue share partnerships

Build relationship with bankers, ISV’s and other lead sources to drive leads

Own the full sales cycle from lead to close

Develop profitable new business account relationships

Identify business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services

Make sales presentations to existing and prospective clients

Responding to RFP’s

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, relevant work experience

2-3 years of sales experience in the Payments Industry and Financial Services Industry

Travel required (10%)

Preferred Skills/Experience

Passion for innovation, emerging technology

3 years of sales experience in the Payments Industry and Financial Services Industry

Experience in a client facing role selling and/or supporting complex enterprise software, technical or financial services

Experience selling eCommerce solutions in the merchant card industry

Experience selling in the Mid-market or national space

History of exceeding quota

Strong negotiation and decision-making skills

Strong consultative sales skills

Creative deal closer

Ability to understand complex requirements and devise customized solutions

Ability to build strong pipeline with profitable opportunities

Solve complex needs and work across internal teams including risk, operations, product etc.

Relevant network is a plus

Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills

Excellent marketing and business development/sales skills
