Directs the assessment and development of future markets and clients. Identifies new business/investment opportunities to generate profitable growth of company assets. Assists top management to determine annual and long term business plans while considering market dynamics. Makes recommendations to senior management for business opportunities.


* Manages the assessment and valuation of new business opportunities and counterparties * Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships * Partners with other value chain and marketing department leaders to influence and build winning and executable strategies for growth and execution * Creates and implements a sales action plan with objectives and business strategies as directed by corporate strategic priorities and goals * Supports the growth initiatives of the Mexico business unit by identifying market movements, opportunities or threats to the Andeavor Mexico's business Participates in important business/trade events, representing and acting on behalf of Andeavor, where knowledge gained is implemented to improve business impactful strategies among business units * Understands market regulations and institutional relations in order to create relationship and influence with the market organizations involved in the industry * Screens potential business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, value potential, and financial projections * Maintains a thorough knowledge of the competitive environment and current trends in the industry.


* Bachelor’s degree in Business or a relevant field or equivalent experience in related field is required * Minimum of 3 to 5 years of downstream fuels related experience * Up to 2 years of supervisory experience of professionals preferred * The incumbent may have 2-5 years of diversified Project Management experience with leading small to large projects or teams


* Fluent in English and Spanish (both spoken & written) * Experience with Business Development and Project Management * Project leadership role experience with the appropriate accountability and responsibility is a plus * Strong interpersonal skills, relationship building skills and communication skills, both written and oral * Aptitude to develop high-level expertise in business or corporate processes * Must be willing to operate in a demanding and deadline-driven environment * Must be willing to travel in Mexico * Excellent execution and multi-tasking organizational skills * Territory and account management experience with proven competency in account penetration and time management * Contractual Negotiation Experience or high exposure to commercial trading and/or marketing contracts * Experience in broad strategic efforts while protecting the organization's value by keeping information confidential
