The Government Business Development Analyst role was created to assist the Vice President Business Development – Military and is responsible for performing analytical tasks for the purpose of identifying, monitoring, tracking and developing new government business opportunities and to support the lines of business in the pursuit and capture of new government business.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, track, monitor and communicate all relevant government contracting opportunities

Identify all opportunities for Triumph companies’ current parts supplied to Government (solicited and unsolicited) including the regular interrogation of government databases to identify parts that Triumph CAGE codes are listed as approved sources.

Identify all opportunities that meet Triumph companies’ capabilities that could be bid / pursued (solicited and unsolicited)

Identify opportunities where Triumph should pursue Source Approval Requests (SAR) to develop new business opportunities

Agree and assign appropriate business unit / operating company ownership for all opportunities that are identified then support as required and pro-actively track progress of the opportunities ensuring they are entered in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM tool if appropriate

Create and maintain a database of all Triumph CAGE codes, SAM registrations and DD2345s.

Track, on a monthly reporting basis, Government orders across the Triumph Group.

Support VP BD Military in the tracking of strategic government opportunities including market research, competitor intelligence, program status, tracking media coverage etc.

Supporting as required Business Development efforts to further engage and secure new customers / opportunities with Military OEMs

Ad hoc assignments as required to support the Business Development functional team

Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business, Operations, Accounting, Analytics, Finance or Marketing.

Experience in sales and marketing.

Internship in a relevant field.

Proficiency in computer operation and business and sales software.

Experience with the following is highly desirable:Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps), Commercially available NSN/CAGE code search tools such as Govgistics, Haystack etc., Microsoft Dynamics CRM tool (or similar)

Organized and structured in their work including the ability to create and maintain databases / spreadsheets (Microsoft Office)

Attention to detail and commitment to follow-up

Interest and experience in defense business with good market knowledge

Ability to be persuasive and persistent in the pursuit of new business

Ability to conduct research and market analysis

Interpret and assess available data and develop decision making information to support pursuit and bid decisions

Identification of Customer Needs and Challenges

Willing to work long and flexible hours to meet project deadlines when required.

Able to travel to conferences, seminars and customer sites when required.
