Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. In this role, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

Google Express Network Strategy and Analytics team strives to design and implement next generation e-commerce fulfillment network leveraging both partner fulfillment and transportation capabilities as well as Google’s technical expertise.

As a Manager focused on Business Analytics and Network Strategy, you'll build analytical models to analyze and identify opportunities to improve the Google Express fulfillment network, and lead the implementation of key business strategies. You will develop business proposals and use data to gather strategic insights to identify opportunities and anticipate challenges.

Build and maintain quantitative models to identify e-commerce fulfillment network opportunities to support strategic and tactical decision making.

Analyze and forecast the impact of business changes (e.g. impacts to customer SLA, delivery cost and area coverage).

Propose carrier and fulfillment node volume and geo-allocation based on cost, quality, operational complexity, reach and SLA.

Lead and support cross-functional network opportunity implementation projects.

Support advanced business analytics for the broader Google Express cross-functional teams.


Minimum qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Research, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience working in business analytics in logistics and/or retail verticals.

Experience working with SQL, advanced data querying and analytics.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or similar advanced degree in a relevant field.

Experience working with statistical software, simulation tools and mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) solvers.

Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management.

Demonstrated project leadership skills.

Excellent project management, program management and communication skills.
