OVERVIEW OF BANKING ANALYST

Banking Analyst is an increasingly important area of a company’s Treasury department. Banking Analyst will assist the Treasury Manager with examine and evaluate company’s cash position to ensure it is effectively utilizing capital. The Banking Analyst will be monitoring on a daily basis, the company bank activity and reporting discrepancies. Banking Analyst will reconcile all company bank accounts and accounting bank schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Executes daily bank vs general ledger reconciliations to ensure accurate recognition of cash

Communicate effectively and frequently with company entities to quickly resolve discrepancies and exceptions

Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries related to status of bank transactions, checks status & Wires/ACHs to management

Performs research to stay up to date on market trends, rates and regulations

Prepares monthly bank reconciliations and associated work papers

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting / Finance from an accredited College or University.

SKILLS

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Self-motivated and flexible approach to work; ultimately a team player that defaults to transparency and a doer personality

Strong organization and follow up skills to handle competing priorities while meeting all deadlines, schedules, and commitments Developed sense of professional skepticism and ability to identify sensitive issues and facilitate communications in a proactive and positive manner

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize

Generally inquisitive - observe and understand business processes with solid listening skills and the ability to identify gaps in logic
