Department Profile

The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm’s books and records, and by contributing to firmwide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley’s various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley’s various businesses and its senior management team.

Position Description

Morgan Stanley seeks a senior associate/manager level professional to add to its Bank team within Capital Planning, which manages the capital of the Morgan Stanley US bank subsidiaries (“Banks”). The candidate will support the Banks’ year-round capital planning and management and will have extensive interaction with senior management as well as cross-functional teams. Experience in Comprehensive Capital Adequacy Review (“CCAR”)/Dodd Frank Act Stress Tests (“DFAST”) and/or project management is highly desirable.

Primary Responsibilities

- Capital planning, analytics and management

- Day-to-day central coordination of Capital management and DFAST processes

- Interpret and evaluate financial modeling and quantitative stress test results

- Aggregation and quality control of Capital/DFAST inputs and submissions

- Content provider for written DFAST narratives and capital policies

- Produce material for senior management, Board and external presentations

- Assist in interpretation of regulatory instructions and guidance','!*!Skills Required - Undergraduate degree with some quantitative/finance coursework- 2 years' work experience in treasury, banking, accounting, consulting, risk management- Strong organizational skills, able to manage processes and multiple projects- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills- Ability to communicate clearly in written, graphical and verbal presentations- General understanding of Treasury function- Familiarity with financial accounting and regulatory standards- Self-motivated with high personal standards, attention to detail and critical thinking skills- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word','Bank Capital Planning and Management
