The APCI Federal Credit Union located at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, PA has an immediate opening for a Business Development Officer.

Nature and Scope: As a member of the Credit Union team, the Business Development Officer (BDO) will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing the development and implementation of new and existing initiatives to further the credit union’s strategic goals and operating objectives. The position is a member of the APCI FCU’s marketing team and reports to the APCI FCU’s Director of Marketing. In addition to the primary accountability for APCI FCU business development, the position may require local and national travel (20% of the time) as necessary to interact with existing and potential new members.

*The expectation is that the individual selected will also have specific training related to our products and services offered to our members and will be required to register in the NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.Plan & execute onsite location visits and/or member interactions to targeted, current or potential business opportunities.

2.Conduct post activity follow-up to determine activity effectiveness & results tracking, resolve problems and analyze sponsor site and/or multi-seg group demographic information to identify any additional business opportunities.

3.Increase APCI FCU’s visibility, image, reputation and awareness within target markets.

4.Identify methods to expand national APCI FCU membership while increasing services per household.

5.Create and execute methods to educate and promote the use of multiple delivery channels for member convenience.

6.Assist in the creation and execution of marketing materials and business development plans as assigned.

7.Support member service and loan operations efforts to reach share balance growth, loan balance growth, relationship growth and member satisfaction goals.

8.Perform other duties and complete projects as assigned by the APCI FCU President/CEO, CFO, CLO or Board of Directors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1.Incumbent will have a BS degree in Marketing and/or five years of business development, sales management or marketing experience. Knowledge of Credit Union operations, Raddon Financial Group or MCIF data base marketing systems are a plus.

2.Incumbent will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to compose targeted communication which could include letters, direct mail, newsletters, etc.

3.Incumbent will have proven intermediate or higher level proficiencies with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to create and provide presentations and/or product or service demonstrations as needed.

4.Incumbent will demonstrate the ability to gather, analyze data and provide sound business development recommendations that further the credit union’s overall strategic and operational objectives.

5.Incumbent should be a self-starter who can multi-task, work independently, exhibit a high degree of member service orientation and maintain effective working relationships with APCI FCU staff, management, volunteers, members and vendors.

While displaying a positive attitude when taking on new challenges while working both individually and in teams with a solutions oriented mindset. He/She will act with accountability to driver results by making timely decisions and focusing on implementation once decisions have been made.
