We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Automation Specialist - Well Automation within our Permian EOR group based in Goldsmith, TX. Essential Job Duties:

• Coordinate and conduct well maintenance activities on Beam wells for New Installs/Upgrades, recurring problems where root cause can not be identified by IWC/POC Tech. • Coordinate and conduct well maintenance activities on ESP wells for New Installs/Upgrades. • Coordinate and conduct well maintenance activities on flowing wells for New Installs/Upgrades, recurring problems where root cause can not be identified by IWC/POC Tech and when access into the PLC is required. • Coordinate and conduct well maintenance activities on injection wells for New Installs/Upgrades, recurring problems where root cause can not be identified by IWC Tech. • Coordinate and conduct well maintenance activities on communications equipment to include new installs/upgrades and issues requiring access and log-in to radios and access points. • Coordinate and conduct maintenance activities on end devices to include pre-programming of transmitters w/ hart communicator and ensure data accuracy on all fluid and gas measurement meters. • Conduct in depth failure analysis on repeat equipment failures. • Represent the Automation team in Well maintenance-related correspondence externally. • Understand the Well automation equipment and design that best support the Asset team. • Maintain maintenance schedule, implementation, compliance to design. • Maintenance cost tracking and reporting as needed • Provide Accurate quotes for automation and maintenance projects • Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete for all automation projects • Implement design for wells within guide lines of automation standards and Oxy EPL • Communicate all Maintenance activities with Asset Teams • Mentor and Train IWC/POC Techs on troubleshooting and repairs of well automation equipment • Respond and provide automation support during all outages. • Work off of assigned schedule and maintain zero out of compliance work orders • Provide analytical support on problem wells. • Provide input on new technologies. • Assist POC/IWC tech during storm outages to bring wells back online ','!*!• High School Diploma or GED minimum educational requirement • 2 year technical degree preferred • 3 – 5 years oilfield experience with a responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors, and the public. • Competent level of understanding of automation and electrical design principles. • Understanding of PSSRs and MOCs. • Extensive expertise in EOR safe work systems. • Extensive expertise of Electrical / Automation construction codes and practices. • Extensive knowledge of material specifications and application • Understanding of regulatory guidelines • Ability to manage large Budget • Strong Leadership and Mentoring skills • Ability to perform under pressure • Ability to work with a team and communicate with other functions. • Advanced computer skills (MS Office Suite, Oxy proprietary software, etc). • Be knowledgeable with tagging conventions, programing simulation and testing • Demonstrate ability to perform strong time management skills • Strong written, oral and project management skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of RTUs.
