The Audit Team Lead is responsible for supervising internal audit engagements, which includes activities such as planning, scoping, and reporting while adhering to department Standards. Proven experience in the Financial Services industry focusing on asset servicing/administration and related services is expected. You will report to an Audit Manager and be responsible for all aspects of project delivery and related tasks.

nThe key responsibilities of the role include:

n

• Functions in various roles on audit engagements, including leading audits and/or project managing multiple engagements concurrently. Maintains a high level of accountability to the project team and the objectives of the engagement

n

• Performs and oversees continuous monitoring activities, including regularly meeting with management, providing real time feedback on business risks/activities, and assessing impacts to the audit plan

n

• Actively communicates with partners at all levels, including developing and presenting audit findings, making recommendations, and communicating tough messages with sensitivity and respect

n

• Utilizes in depth understanding of products, services, risk management, industry and other technical knowledge, and auditing to ensure operations, services, and systems have proper risk management activities implemented (i.e., design of the control environment)

• Applies analytical skills to review information and determine potential control weakness through the scope and the audit project team's assessment activities

n

• As a subject area expert, builds authentic relationships with the audit team and auditee through providing comprehensive, in-depth insight and leadership, along with influencing cross audit team assessment and testing techniques

n

• Organizes and assigns staff audit engagements, sets priorities, and monitors progress

n

• Conducts the performance management process for direct reports. Oversees the performance management process and ensures that Audit Managers are identifying training and development needs for their respective audit teams

n

• Reviews audit work including work paper documentation, findings and recommendations and the final report to ensure appropriate attention to detail and adherence to the Corporation's/Department's Policies and Standards and ensuring work is performed within established timeframes

•Current experience leading and management a team of Auditor staff either from another Bank, Financial Institution or from Public Accounting/Consulting with client engagements focused on the Financial Services segment.

•A four year college or university degree and/or relevant auditing and systems experience is required. Advanced degree and/or professional certifications strongly preferred.

• Experience auditing in the financial services industry highly preferred

n

•Strong analytical skills with a strong orientation towards the attention to detail and strong communication skills, especially in the areas of eport writing and work paper documentation, are required.
