As an Associate QA Engineer in Moog’s Aircraft Group you can expect to play an integral role in our success in meeting or exceeding our customer performance expectation related to quality and performance of product.   The Associate QA Engineer’s will help provide the required level of protection to Moog and its Customers by ensuring the compliance to requirements (Moog Quality Management System, customer and regulatory).

The Associate Quality Engineer responsibilities will include:

Directly supporting Quality responsibilities related to program and customer

Compliance to product and process requirements

Investigation and implementation of corrective action(s) as a result of quality issues impacting product build and the value stream.

Here’s what you’ll be involved with and support:

Verifying compliance to customer and regulatory (FAA and DCMA) requirements in the assembly and test process.

Compliance with contractual changes related to quality including the appropriate flow down of contract requirements to suppliers and appropriate Moog disciplines including the training of the requirements to required functional disciplines.

Process Validation through using Design for Manufacture activities and process proofing (Proof of Build).

Root cause and corrective action for product and process quality issues impacting program and the value stream (delivery). This will include technical assistance to Manufacturing, A & T, Vendors, Customers, and other Engineering disciplines in the resolution of product and process related issues.

Failure analysis investigations of product (internal and from the field).

Investigation activity will include: confirmation of failure, immediate containment, correction(s), immediate corrective actions, permanent corrective actions, look across sand validation of implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.

Investigation and disposition of nonconforming hardware through Material Review Board (MRB)

The development and review of:

 Inspection plans for receiving inspection, assembly & test,

Engineering procedures and drawing changes

First article inspections.

Act as a guide for customer and regulatory (FAA and DCMA) audits.  Support investigation of root cause analysis and corrective action for any findings.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Engineering or Information Technology, preferred.

Associates Degree with 2 years related work experience required.
