Associate Business Systems Analyst

Snap-on Inc,

Design, develop and maintain internal applications using Oracle PL/SQL and Unix Shell scripting. It also requires ability to analyze, support and modify existing applications, scripts and interfaces. The position involves working on complete development life cycle and with business units, internal application teams and server admin teams.

Responsibilities

Ability to interface with clients to analyze requirements and develop reports based on client needs.

Conduct application monitoring

Ability to document Standard Operating Procedures for routine data management tasks

Given a moderately complex business or technical issue, analyze and determine root cause.

Work effectively in a team environment on all phases of projects. Help identify issues, lead peers to decisions and prepare solutions for short and long term

Interface with clients on service level issues and process improvements

Interface with internal I/T teams to achieve key objectives

Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.

Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

Manage projects, develop project plans and monitor performance

Qualifications

Bachelors (combination of degrees allowed in computer sciences) 1-2 years progressive I/T experience

Understanding of Oracle Database design/development, normalization, SQL, PL/SQL, and functions

Experience with reporting and query building tools, preferably Tableau and SQL Developer

Analyze and research available products and tools. Recommend final product selection and implement the product/tool.

Understands the value and contributes to defining compliance and control requirements and documentation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the applications being supported.
