Job Description:

Job Summary:


Under direct supervision, responsible for analysis and development, implementation, modification and installation of low complexity systems in different operational environments. Responsible for creating process and system documentation and updating them as well as technical specifications, and testing plans. With a basic understanding of business and user needs, assists in recommending, designing, testing and implementing systems upgrades and improvements.


Under direct supervision, partner with the business, process owners and super users to understand and develop their technology requirements.

Under direct supervision, evaluate and assess business and user needs, and select a technology that meets the requirements and is compatible with existing systems and B-F IT’s strategy.

Under direct supervision, responsible for the analysis and development, implementation, modification and installation and support and testing of technologies for process improvements.

With direct supervision, analyze system user requirements to define and design and complete system configuration, enhancements, and modifications.

With direct supervision, create and maintain business and system process documentation, technical specifications, system testing and documenting test results, and quality assurance of production system changes.

With direct supervision, act as a liaison to the business clients and technology resources, coordinating and documenting the functional requirement definitions for the business area and related initiatives.

Serve as the in-house expert on assigned technologies, business processes and end-user information delivery tools.

Maintain effective working relationships with B-F personnel and external partners.

Develop and maintain professional knowledge of new and emerging trends in software and hardware technology.

Project Management:

With direct supervision, manage or participate in department level projects/ assignments with typically a low degree of complexity and minor change management components.

Follow IT project methodology, responsible for all aspects of project life cycle management and the coordination of resources across IT and within the business operating units.

With direct supervision, lead the execution of technology implementation initiatives, within accepted timelines, budgets and resources.


With direct supervision, provide ongoing support to include:

Establishing and enforcing standardizations of business operating processes, procedures and policies,

Investigate and resolve end user questions and complex problems; design, configure and document solutions, and transfer key knowledge to the business.

Monitor system performance.

Responsible for identifying, training and support B-F users across multiple departments.


Required Education: Collegiate Level degree

Preferred Education: BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)


0-3 years of Information systems or business operations experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to quickly learn existing business processes and combine knowledge from functional disciplines in order to produce and optimize business solutions.

Ability to participate in projects/assignments with a low to medium degree of complexity.

Ability to facilitate training and deliver effective presentations that are valued by the client.

Highly motivated with strong initiative to learn and complete projects

Understanding of cloud architecture, both pros and cons.

Intermediate knowledge of G-Suite development tools (Google Apps Script, AppMaker, Google Cloud Compute) as well as Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

Informational to beginner knowledge of new to Brown-Forman cloud applications such as Coupa, Concur, Infor, etc.

Ability to create low to medium complexity Salesforce applications that utilize Salesforce best practices and are built for mobility. Beginner skills programming Apex classes and Visualforce pages.

Beginner to intermediate knowledge of HTML5, Javascript Libraries and dynamic UI/UX tools

Informational to beginner knowledge of ETL technology and tools
