Asset Protection Manager-Audit and Training','!*!The purpose of this position is to

monitor compliance of standard operating procedures that impact store

profitability. The Senior Asset Protection Auditor is a working supervisor

position with direct reports. This role will lead an audit team who will facilitate

a broad operational compliance audit, evaluating standard operating procedures,

measuring operational execution and identifying deficiencies that have a

negative impact on store image and profitability. Additionally, the program

will support the stores organization through hands on training and assisting

management in the development of action plans to address deficient areas.

Successful execution of the position responsibilities will result in improved

shareholder value. This position will be responsible for auditing all

Rent-A-Center business segments and resolving any integrity issues identified

during the audit process.

Leadership / Coaching

and Developing Others

Inspires others to follow

a shared vision, challenges and pushes staff and himself / herself to

constantly improve.Proactively facilitate the

growth and development of assigned Audit staff to include hiring,

training, evaluating, and disciplining as part of overall performance

management.Equips people to do their

job and encourages them to excel.Regularly schedule

visitation with all direct reports; specific store/market visits

prioritized based on individual performance measurements. Supervise day-to-day and

long-range planning of several Asset Protection Auditors. Ensure focus remains on

the serving those who serve others and to reduce the frequency of merchandise

and cash loss; operational oversight, compliance and integrity issues.Guides team members through research needed during internal

investigations base on audit observations. Coordinates and conducts remote

interviews, collects written statements with assistance of Auditors for

issues involving theft, fraud, integrity violations and breach of company

policy as needed.

 

Strategic Planning

and Communication

Development of the audit,

documented processes, reporting , and communication of results to our

customers.Plans and forecasts

schedule of the Audit Team to minimize travel related costsProper use of all company

and departmental activity performance reporting to identify risks and

mitigate issues that lead to loss.Audit Stores/Districts

that present the greatest risk to the organization, mitigating potential

exposures and improving profitability.Support the stores

organization through hands on training and assisting management in the

development of action plans to address deficient areas.Anticipates and overcomes

obstacles, manages toward goal completion. Sets realistic goals, does not

give up easily.Regularly communicates

results to Store Managers, District Managers, Regional Directors and Divisional

Vice Presidents across all RAC brands.

 

 

 

Audit / Awareness

Training

Strategic selection and

completion of Audits within assigned areas to meet or exceed company

performance objectives.Review and analyze store

reports prior to arriving at the audit location. Identify suspicious

activity or poor execution that may lead to theft, fraud or margin erosion.Complete data entry of

audits timely, attach all supporting paper work and review audit results/exceptions

with Management.Identify deficient areas

and deliver training while on site.Support Zone Asset Protection Managers by performing quality

investigations in compliance with Corporate Asset Protection guidelines

and ethics.Conducts internal investigations base on audit observations, conducts

interviews and collects written statements for issues involving theft,

fraud, integrity violations and breach of company policy as needed.Partner with the

operations group (Regional Directors, District Managers & Store

Associates) to build loss prevention awareness across all brands.

Consultation and

Coordination

Review data and risk

reporting to insure all theft and fraud issues are detected and

communicated to their supervisor.Collaborate with risk

management, internal audit, human resources and other available resource

departments to monitor store trends and improve associate compliance with

established RAC standards.Expand network by participating

in local groups such as Pawnshops, Asset Protection Retailing and Certified

Fraud Examiners .Participate in initiatives

and projects that improve the asset protection department .

','!*!Minimum of 5 years

relevant retail, operations, audit or asset protection experience.Has the ability to

diagnose problems, collect information, establish facts, draw valid

conclusions and resolve a variety of operational issues ranging from

ordinary to complex.Be able to understand the

concept of inventory, P&L and the financial implications of it. Ability to effectively communicate

in verbal and written form with all members of the organization.Familiarity with

progressive asset protection audit programs and loss reduction strategies.Ability to lead, relate

and influence staff, field operations and corporate team members.Intermediate computer

skills and software applications preferably in Microsoft Office are

preferred.Travel via car or air 50%

or more to meet the business needs.Professional experience

with remote investigative methods.Formalized interview

training; i.e. Wicklander or Reid.Must support an

analytical, risk based and strategic approach to the business.Ability to work as a team

and remotely with minimum supervision.Bachelor’s degree, LPQ or CFE
