Overview
The Application Systems Analyst II is responsible for the administration, configuration, front-line support and project management of mission-critical ambulatory clinical and practice management applications and programs of service.
 
In this key role, you will also responsible for end user training and promoting technology adoption throughout the user community.
Responsibilities

Contributing member of the Information Technology Team, and works in an ongoing capacity to further the usage and adoption of software.  Makes recommendations for workflow improvements based on knowledge of software and Joslin ambulatory clinical and practice operations 
Manages projects using standard project management tools and methodology
Assumes responsibility for supporting, documenting, and/or extending functionality during and post implementation
Contributes to roadmap planning and execution for clinical and practice management applications and related \u201cadd-on\u201d software components, and their relevant upgrades, backups, and other system administrator activities
Assists in identifying and recommending best practices for business analysis, training, and end user support functions
Identifies and resolves issues, and facilitates appropriate escalation for timely resolution
Generates ideas for possible enhancements; understands user requirements and business impacts, and translates them to functional requirements
Assesses, analyzes, and documents current and new workflows and identifies impacts to system design decisions and operational processes
Develops and executes test plans, and facilitates user acceptance testing; helps to establish consensus on success factors, including but not limited to reliability, ease-of-use, maintainability, and performance constraints
Collaborates with vendor support personnel to research and resolve vendor product issues
Administers user accounts, permissions, and other activities related to on-boarding or maintaining user security profiles
Conducts training classes in classroom, lecture hall, one-on-one, and other applicable settings; creates and maintains appropriate training agendas, guides, job aides, and other documentation

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Healthcare, or related field
ITIL training or certification desired
EHR Vendor Certification/Training strongly preferred
5 years of ambulatory clinical and practice management system administration and support experience
3-5 years workflow design and end user application training
Strong knowledge of ambulatory clinical and practice management workflows; Ambulatory healthcare IT experience desired
End user support management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
Demonstrated commitment to delivery of exemplary, high quality customer service
Ability to communicate clearly and collaboratively regarding deliverables, barriers to success, and opportunities for workflow improvement
Strong professional persona with exemplary presentation and written/oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds and levels within and external to the organization, including both technical and non-technical personnel
Ability to effectively conduct meetings, both formal and informal
Must possess basic teaching skills
Analytical thinker with strong problem solving skills and the ability to translate non-technical requests into a technical solution
Requires minimal direction from leadership, and possesses the desire to learn new skills and the ability to learn quickly
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with an appreciation for critical paths and deadlines
Team player with the desire to deliver results on time
Well organized, self-motivated, and follows through
Must be flexible, versatile, adaptable
Demonstrates a positive can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and accountability to team members
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Local travel may be required to support remote campuses
As projects and priorities dictate, must be available to work non-standard business hours such as evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays if/when necessary
