POSITION SUMMARY We are hiring a Database Support Technician for our Support team. This position will maintain, implement, and troubleshoot client\/vendor inbound\/outbound files in a heterogeneous environment. The preferred candidate has experience managing work in this type of environment, working on multiple new implementations\/new services, researching issues, and contributing to improved efficiencies. If you have innovative mentality with SQL Server skills then we want to hear from you This is a support position for American Health Holding, the team is responsible for 24\/7\/365 support of the all the applications for the company. The team also monitors and ensures that all our client data requirements are processing per the defined SLAs. Fundamental Components: 2 years of relevant experience with concentration in Database Analysis, Design, and Development 2 years of experience in T-SQL development Experience with SSIS packages, SSRS and SSAS Demonstrate the ability to adapt to an SSIS\/SQL server environment including data extraction, cleansing\/data integration, and loading from different data sources Ability to manage all phases of Extract\/Transform\/Load (ETL) development including reviewing technical documentation, development work, conducting design reviews, coordinating packaging & release deployments, and testing solutions in a complex environment. Extensive Stored Procedure development Solid skills in database performance fine tuning and optimizing poorly performing queries, stored procedures Model and generate database structures Support day to day production inquiries and questions from other technology groups. Demonstrate an understanding of what is considered protected health information such as HIPPA and PHI Address data quality issues; work with business partners to build business understanding of data issues. Handle individual workload and deliver upon project milestones on time and on budget. Skilled in developing dimensional databases and data cubes Proven experience with SQL Server Analysis Services. Proven experience with SQL Server Reporting Services. Ability to design unit and system test plans, and execute testing. Extensive database administration experience Proven teamwork skills Excellent communicator both verbally and written with coordination and facilitation skills. Ability to multi-task and complete in a timely manner multiple assignments. Handle backups and restores On call responsibilities Rights administration Production bug fix issues BACKGROUND\/EXPERIENCE desired: Requires in-depth knowledge of Microsoft toolsets. Ideal candidate will be required to lead the technical design of complex, highly re-usable processes including the creation and maintenance of technical application and component design specifications. Ability to code to the technical specifications and often times, guide other technical resources through development activities within an onshore\/offshore staffing model. Responsible for interacting with multiple teams while working through technical and design issues in order to support the applications. Ability to work independently as well as in small groups, performing technical activities including analysis, design, development, and testing and production installation of all components applications. Willingness to be in an On Call rotation once every 5 weeks. EDUCATION The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Support Team focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of physical data models and databases. Key activities include access method analysis, application consulting, performance tuning, device allocation, data organization, security, and statistical methods, including the development and monitoring of standards and procedures affecting models, database management, design and maintenance.
