Analyst, Operations Strategy

The Operations Innovation Operations Analyst will work on high priority initiatives by collaborating with senior operating leaders of DaVita Rx. The foundation of the role will be evaluating business performance on a continuous basis to develop insights in order to meet organizational goals. The Operations Analyst will be responsible assisting in the implementation of these insights and accurately assessing their impact. Implementation will occur by working/influencing others and (if availability exists) personally driving the initiative from idea into operations. Topics of the initiatives will likely include:

Growth strategies across DaVita Rx

Large-scale operating model changes to drive efficiencies and improve outcomes in the rapidly changing healthcare landscape

Introduction and incubation of disruptive medical technologies

Commercializing portfolio of assets and DaVita Rx specific operations strategy

The Operations Analyst will work with a team of highly-motivated individuals with management consulting, process engineering, change management, investment banking, and clinical experience, and is expected to effectively manage individual work streams and communicate recommendations to senior executives.

Conducts analyses on organizational and department specific performance; leverages hypotheses-based approach to identify, validate and quantify opportunities

Conveys findings & proposed solutions in a cohesive story, including summarizing insights from analysis; builds appropriate horizontal & vertical logic in presentations & presents comfortably and compellingly to high level management

Develops long standing relationships with operations teammates & leaders; maintains current working knowledge of Operations processes; works closely with teammates within DaVita Rx and DaVita Clinics; assist in developing a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout DaVita Rx to create teammate ownership of quality in daily activities.

Develops innovative solutions to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information; uses continuous improvement tools & techniques (Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA); drive quality and process improvement efforts established by the business and operations leadership.

10-25% travel may be required; also night and weekend hours may sometimes be required during special projects.



0-2 years of experience in analytics, consulting, investment banking or corporate strategy

Experience on teams undertaking large-scale business transformations with tangible impact on operating/financial performance

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics or other applicable quantitative or management related field (Not required for internal candidates)

Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong verbal, written and presentation skills


VBA, SQL and other programming skills

0 - 2 years of prior experience (internship experience acceptable) in management consulting, process engineering role

Experience on teams undertaking large-scale business transformations with tangible impact on operating/financial performance

Healthcare background, preferred

Process analysis, improvement, redesign experience (Required for internal candidates)
