Description Thisis a Test Evaluation and Support Team contract position (TEST2) at the NASA \u2013White Sands Test Facility; it may be assigned toJacobs Technology Inc. or a teammate company. Utilizes the full-scope of sophisticatedequipment, software, and graphic design technology to prepare complexdocuments. Evaluates and formats all documents to ensure accuracy, quality, andcompleteness. Designs page layouts and illustrations in collaboration with thetechnical editor and authors. Confers with technical editors and authors toresolve challenges with format and page layouts. Interfaces regularly withcustomers, management representatives and upper level NASA management. ManagesISO Repository for WSTF Policy and Instruction Documents. Processes andconfirms adherence of export control standards for all technical documents,photos\/video, and presentations. Supports PAO office as needed (tours,educational outreach). May support Rotunda and ViTS services. Provide input towork schedules, estimates on work to be performed to PLs\/Branch Manager, andprovide weekly status reports to Branch Manager. Performs all other duties asassigned. A demonstration of your skills may also be required, as part of theinterview. Qualifications Requires two (2) years of college with coursesin business administration, industrial management, or appropriate discipline,and six (6) year experience or any equivalent combination of relevant educationand experience. Adept at using and quickly mastering software tools. Must befamiliar with and have knowledge of publications and graphic design software,processes, and requirements. Familiar with style guides such as the ChicagoManual of Style. Must have the ability to understand procedural documentsdescribing processes and specifications, and be able to multi-task andre-prioritize tasks. Software knowledge required: MS Office Suite (Word,PowerPoint, Excel, and Access); Adobe InDesign; Adobe Photoshop; Word Press; andOmniPage Pro. Excellent interpersonal skills.\u00a0 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: UNUSUAL OR SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION\u00a0 Position involvesextended periods of sitting. Physical requirements are sitting, walking,standing, use of stairs, and access to remote structures. Typically required tolift and hold up to 10 pounds. Position is located on a hazardous testingfacility; must be able to quickly evacuatebuildings in the event of an emergency. DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT Desk\/office work and test area work. As necessary, must beable to travel to other work areas, be aware of safety requirements for thoseareas, and work within those constraints (e.g. access procedures and proper PPE). Walking on uneven terrain including pavedareas, gravel\/rocks, and dirt\/sand is required to access various locations onthe facility. Requires meetings with authors, customers, and uppermanagement to discuss project requirements. All work must be completed in a safemanner in accordance with NASA and Company safety standards. EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES INVOLVED IN WORK TASKS Computer workrequired. Use of printer\/copiers, calculator, printer, fax, scanner, telephone,filing cabinets, and other standard office equipment is required. CRITICALITY OFATTENDANCE Regular attendance and punctuality is required. Occasionalovertime may be required in support of test project schedules or other priorityassignments as determined by management or customer needs. OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Must be able to communicate effectivelywith individuals at all levels of the organization. Must work well under pressure to meetdeadline requirements. Dress must beappropriate for the position and not pose a safety risk or hazard to theemployee or others in accordance with NASA and Company policies. Must be a U.SCitizen. Must possess a valid statedriver\u2019s license. Must pass a Federal background investigation. Must be able to pass a physical examinationas determined by the NASA White Sands Test Facility and the Company for the jobclassification. Must submit topre-employment drug testing.
