Job Description

An energetic and creative person to provide support functions to Claims. This position performs administrative support as needed with reports, agendas, projects and deadlines. Person must have a high level of energy and integrity.

The ideal claims team member will be an analytical and creative problem solver to offer support to the rest of the claims team. The claims team offers on going challenges, even for the most experienced professional, as every claim is unique, providing new opportunities to learn and grow. We welcome our ongoing interaction with underwriting, compliance and actuarial to keep our products healthy.

Essential Functions:

The administrative assistant to the claims team is responsible for; typing and proofreading correspondence; faxing, photocopying, and scanning; loss draft issuance; processing of expense payments and fast pays; answering the claims reporting line and claims service line; sending certified letters; processing claim status requests; creating flash drives and monthly audit reports.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

In addition to the essential functions, an administrative assistant to the claims team is expected to send claim acknowledgements. This position may also entail completion of special projects.

Specific Skills:

Strong oral and written communication skills, insightful analytical skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work as a team or individually. Organizational skills, prioritization, typing, photocopying, and proofreading. Specialized knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education: High School Degree or GED

Requires Experience: Previous Administrative Assistant experience required
