Lead actuarial model development and modifications
Guide development of pricing assumptions with data scientists utilizing strategic data assets
Partner with heads of business and technology product owners to evaluate profitability of alternative product designs and features that improve the customer experience and meet customer needs
Coordinate with actuarial pricing, valuations, and projections departments to ensure appropriate reserve and capital calculations in profit models
Communicate performance with relevant internal and external stakeholders
Work with data scientists to report on performance and interpret results
Adopt to an agile framework to schedule work, adjust as needed and continuously improve team performance
Entrepreneurial minded and driven self-starter
Minimum 3 years of related experience
Completed all exams for the attainment of an ASA or has an ASA actuarial designation plus completion of additional coursework towards Fellowship.
Works collaboratively with others, and effectively communicates actuarial analysis, solutions, limits, and options to technical and nontechnical audiences.
Working knowledge of individual life insurance product modeling
Comfortable with analyzing data and working in spreadsheet applications
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship – This means we will not offer H1B/ TN, OPT etc Visa support
Software development or coding experience, especially in R or Python (numpy, pandas, etc…) programming languages
Fellow, Society of Actuaries
5 years of experience in actuarial
Experience with any of the following areas: machine learning, probability and statistics (esp Bayesian methods), natural language processing, operations research
