Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers - Phoenix, AZ

We are seeking smart, motivated part-time Accounting Clerk. As an Accounting Clerk you will work in concert with TAPI Program Manager, TAPI Program Director and contract CPA to compute, classify, record and verify numerical data for use in maintaining accurate accounting records.

What You'll Be Doing

Process organization checks for deposit.

Reconcile credit card statements.

Order accounting supplies (e.g. checks, deposit slips, stamps, etc.)

In coordination with CPA, process accounts receivables and payables.

In coordination with CPA, create budget reports for grant deliverables.

Receive email updates and apply changes prior to finalizing remittances.

Report spend-down of grants.

Process payment of invoices from contractors and vendors.

Issue checks for Billing Program refunds to insurance companies.

Process Billing Program check deposits.

Reconcile monthly Billing Program payments: Create accountability reports of insurance payments by county and by vaccine

Record county vaccine purchasing costs and update tracking spreadsheet

Calculate amount to be paid to each county and amount TAPI retains for billing services

Issue and mail checks to applicable counties with supporting documentation

Provide customized invoicing process to select county and process/track payment

What You Should Have

Associate’s Degree in accounting or equivalent accounting experience with basic knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles. Grant management reporting experience a plus.

Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of basic accounting principles, practices and methods.

Demonstrated ability to use intermediate functions and features of Quickbooks and the MSOffice suite including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications.

Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direct supervision in the efficient and thorough completion of tasks.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks, assignments and projects to meet established quality and time requirements.

This position is part-time, office is located in downtown Phoenix
