Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to expand our relationships with existing TerminalSmart and PortVision customers . We provide software solutions for the maritime industry, and we currently serve over 500 customers including major oil companies. We nurture our partnership culture with clients. We support over 3,000 individual revenue-generating users with our SaaS based maritime business intelligence platform. This position is critical to continued success of our clients using our solutions. The Account Manager is responsible for client retention, identification of client needs, driving deeper client engagement with our team, closing additional revenue opportunities and networking activities. Customer interaction will comprise the majority of the workweek through onsite, telephone and email visits to both our TerminalSmart and large PortVision customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

*Account Management*

* Primarily focus on account development, sales, and delivery of TerminalSmart and PortVision solutiions with a secondary focus of Oceaneering solutions and/or discrete products and services.

* Assist in development of commercial strategies to pursue client growth opportunities, and win new business resulting in significant revenue growth.

* Provide business value added selling to the stakeholders of each account.

* Raise the profile of Oceaneering capabilities within the account.

* Identify and shape the account’s needs for Oceaneering products, services, and solutions.

* Develop new customer relationships and expand existing relationships.

* Full awareness of account’s business cycles.

* Prioritize sales efforts toward high potential, top opportunities.

*Customer Understanding*

* Understand the account’s business(es), organization, programs and processes, priorities, key needs, motivation, and what the account deems most valuable.

* Drive a strategy and execution plan focused on the account’s key priorities, business objectives, geographic footprint, and service needs to facilitate growth in Oceaneering.

* Identify account’s opportunities and threats to our business.

*Team Building, Alignment & Collaboration*

* Coordinate and interact with the GDS team to implement any deal operationally.

* Contribute Voice of the Customer information for TerminalSmart and PortVision roadmaps.

* Participate in the Product Enhancement committees.

* Develop, share and maintain an information base around each account.

*Customer Relationship Building, Sales & Service Excellence*

* Identify and engage key buyers and contacts.

* Engage the account’s key leadership through face to face visits and presentations.

* Provide “hands on” leadership to support contract negotiations for proposal efforts.

* Coordinate annual TerminalSmart user summit.

ADDITIONAL

* Ability to travel up to 30% domestically.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* Bachelor of Science degree and five years’ related experience in the oil & gas industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Demonstrated success in Account Management roles.

* Business acumen to align clients’ risks and challenges to Oceaneering’s capabilities in a manner that increases our clients’ success while increasing Oceaneering’s revenue.
