Partner with and provide compliance oversight and support to assigned business/support unit(s) to ensure that Compliance Risk is appropriately managed utilizing risk assessment skills and mitigation through an adequate control environment. Provide guidance on applicable compliance laws and regulations, including BSA/AML, Sanctions, Fraud, Fair Lending/ECOA, Privacy, and UDAAP.

Responsibilities will include:

• Obtain and sustain general knowledge on all compliance related risks that affect or could affect business activities ranging from Anti-Money Laundering/Sanctions to Customer Protection like UDAAP, Fraud, Fair Lending and Privacy/Data Protection.

• Integrate with Business Unit Senior Leadership to establish a strong compliance culture, relay and educate on compliance requirements, formulate remediation plans, etc.

• Complete annual Risk Assessments in collaboration with the Business/Support Unit which includes ascertaining inherent risks and mitigating controls, and identifying deficiencies and respective remediation.

• Assist the training function in creating tailored compliance training as well as follow up to ensure that employees complete their training. Conduct business unit specific training as needed.

• Assist the Compliance Assurance Services team in carrying out compliance testing activity and tracking identified issues to remediation.

• Facilitate and support compliance related initiatives for Compliance Subject Matter Experts, Compliance Policies and Procedures, regulatory changes, etc.

• Support the business in development of detailed compliance desktop procedures and other necessary documentation to enhance and maintain the control environment.

• Support internal audit and external regulator examinations from agencies such as the OCC and CFPB.

• Act as liaison between the Business/Support Unit and Corporate Compliance.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent regulatory compliance related experience required

Minimum 5 years compliance or risk management related experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to drive change efficiently and collaboratively across an organization

Commercial lending and leasing knowledge is a plus

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong collaboration and relationship building with the business partners, knowledge of the business operations, education, procedures and other documentation, facilitation of testing and other related activities, and any other means necessary to ensure proper compliance risk management.
