Position Purpose and Scope


artner with Sales/Planning in development and execution of seasonal sales/receipt plans by account, meeting internal & external sales and profit goals. Partner with AE’s on in season analysis, maximizing off price and BSR opportunities.

Key Responsibilities


• Partner with Sales/Planning to establish overall business strategies and by account.

• Develop financial plans which support strategies by account, door, and lifestyle.

• Partner with AE’s to validate plan, ensure external & internal sales & profit criteria.

• Develop in season forecast of sales, markdowns, & margin and turnover and recommend strategies to drive the business.

• Partner with Sales/Planning on management meeting preparation and presentation of seasonal plans to retailers.

• Supervise planners to achieve above mentioned goals.

In market

• Partner with sales to make any required adjustments to plans/orders.

• Partners with manager on reconciling account financial plans top account wedges.

• Partners with manager, merchandise planning, sales and production in supply demand meeting.

• Reconcile account plans to account wedges.

• Forecast account profitability and communicate to Sales/Planning forecast EOS needs.

• Supervise download of wedges; verify accuracy of data.

In season

• Forecast and maintain OTB’s bi-monthly (as needed) with AE’s & planners.

• Communicate with retail (store) planners on forecasting sales & markdowns. Work w/Lauren planners on recommending strategies to drive sales.

• Partner with AE’s on BSR forecasts and actuals.

• Maintain door productivity reports and branch trench reports.

• Partner w/BSR on seasonal/monthly forecasts.


• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of retail assortment planning experience required in the apparel industry

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong computer skills

• Self-motivated and organized

• Strong product knowledge in premium / luxury segment of apparel industry
