Position Summary

The  Sales Support Manager  is responsible for the development, and timely completion of proposals, presentations and marketing materials in support of ABM’s overall national and local sales objectives for the Education Services Industry Group.

Responsibilities related to the supporting sales proposals includes data gathering, verification and entry into the appropriate databases and meets company style guide standards. This role will be responsible for ensuring sales and marketing tools and resources are communicated, sales support processes are followed, and ensuring consistency of brand positioning and messaging in all sales materials. Reports to the VP of Sales for the Technical Solutions Group.

Essential Duties

• Process inbound RFP, RFI, and RFQ requests and analyze to determine specific customer requirements

• Execute proposal/presentation services with high quality and in line with production timeline

• Maintain department production reports and schedules

• Provide response to client following direction and with support of supervisor

• Maintain content database of proposal Q&A's specific to the HT Group and provide information from the database to Sales/Marketing personnel as requested

• Monitor proposals for accurate content and timely completion and shipping

• Create proposals, presentations, and sales collateral using relevant business software; ensure content is consistent with CoE and Marketing guidelines

• Conduct follow-up with sales to determine final status of business development opportunities.

• Provide logo files, graphics, and photography support including resizing, electronic filing and the organization of image and graphic files.

• Apply technical writing skills, if applicable, to customize proposals to industry

• Maintains centralized Sales Support Mailbox and Help Desk by responding to emails promptly, answering 1-800 # and checking and responding to voice mail

• Manage the Industry Group’s Sales Department Sharepoint portal

• Manage special projects as needed such as collateral development, training manuals, list management, data collection, and surveys.

Minimum Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Journalism or 5-7 years, or equivalent experience

 Advanced ability to understand a client’s business, technology and process needs, and translate into actionable, industry-leading services solutions.

 Understanding of the various methods a client opportunity may be delivered and can anticipate what will work best for a given client

 Ability to combine technical expertise with business acumen to provide vital, detailed information about how an ABM solution can deliver business value to its clients.

 Technical writing, when applicable

 Must work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines

 Ability to prioritize and work with senior managers and executives

 Positive attitude and works well with others

 Experience should include sales proposal production, communications and managing multiple projects.  

 B2B experience in service industry a plus!

Technical/Software Skills

Well-versed in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

 Prior experience with Qvidian (or other database content management application) is highly desirable.

 Experience with managing documents in Sharepoint

 Experience with CRM tool such as is preferred
