The MBA Internship Program is an intensive 10-12 week opportunity that provides work within a fast-paced and challenging environment. MBA interns contribute to meaningful projects, interacting and working side by side with finance industry experts. Our internship program also provides a robust speaker series, which allows interns to hear from top executives throughout the summer. Our company relies heavily on our internship talent pool to fill full-time positions.  As an intern with Cardinal Health, you will have the opportunity to interact with other interns and participate in tours, lectures and presentations that will increase your knowledge of Cardinal Health as well as develop your leadership skills. All internships are paid.\r
Role SelectionWe work directly with our senior leadership to create roles that are challenging, add-value to the business, and meet the developmental needs of our MBA Interns. Through a preferencing process our MBA Interns will have the opportunity to preference the main focus on the role they will have this summer. The roles typically consist of:Financial Planning & AnalysisCorporate TreasuryCorporate DevelopmentProjects as presented by business needWhat is expected of you and others at this level: Works to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the tasks at hand and by breaking them down into smaller piecesProactively develops and maintains broad knowledge of the technical disciplines in own functional area(s)Uses deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process skills to help internal/external customers and stakeholders identify and meet their high priority needs while considering cultural and diversity implicationsMeasures and evaluates the effectiveness of protocols, programs or deliverables; compares measurement results to standardsEvaluates alternative solutions/decisions in light of the potential impact on the internal/external customer and Cardinal Health; understands the resource implications of solutions and makes recommendations\r
Accountabilities in this role:Strong analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse culturesMust be willing to work independently and make sound decisions expeditiouslyStrong quality and results orientation with a proactive approachAbility to prioritize requests effectively and understand importance and meet deadlinesMust be willing to adapt to shifting requirements or prioritiesAbility to work independently with moderate level of directionQualificationsCardinal Health primarily recruits current, full-time students who are in the first year of their MBA program and meet following minimum recommended qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeProgression toward an MBA in Accounting, Finance, Strategy or relatedRelevant coursework and/or projectsPrevious work experience preferred, but not requiredStrong leadership, communication and analytical skillsEstablished work ethic and ambitionExtensive community service and/or extracurricular activitiesProcess and results orientationMust have unlimited work authorization in the United States\r
