Internship Objectives:

We want your internship experience with Wyndham Vacation Ownership in Reno/Lake Tahoe Nevada

to be a beneficial, educational experience! We will support you in attaining school credit for your time with us. Our goal is to share with you an overall operational understanding of our property management business, with an emphasis on recreational Resort Activities. Additionally, depending on your placement with us, you will also get experience in one or more of the following: owner relations, housekeeping/inspecting, Guest Services, opening, closing and many other unique aspects to the industry.

Do I have what it takes?

We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, customer service driven, Nevada or California college students, majoring in Business, Hospitality or Recreation, to join Wyndham Vacation Ownership

for an exciting and educational summer internship! We will first consider seniors and then juniors, who are currently enrolled in Nevada or California Universities Business or Hospitality program. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and previous customer service experience is preferred. Additionally, you MUST be able to attain school credit for your time with us.

Is this a paid internship?

YES! This is a paid internship opportunity. The ability to work a flexible schedule is required. In the hospitality industry evening, weekend and holiday work is required. Any school coursework is expected to be completed on your own time. Paychecks are issued bi-weekly, however, your first paycheck my take three weeks to be issued, so you should plan your finances accordingly.

Will I need to provide my own transportation?

YES. Housing options and transportation are NOT

provided by Wyndham Vacation Ownership

and will be the responsibility of the student.

Additional Requirements:

Registered for college credit for internship Seeking a degree in Hospitality or related field at Nevada / California Universities

Students are required to work full time once the season starts and must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include: nights, weekends, holidays, overtime and on-call. Thus, no time off will be allowed for trips/travel, weddings, family reunions, etc.
