Use to Find Seasonal Work for Your Second Job

Pasadena, CA – The holidays may be over and the seasonal workers for them have already been let go, but now retail stores are gearing up for spring by hiring more workers. While seasonal work is not ideal, if you are unemployed, any job is a start towards better employment. You can also use seasonal work as a second job to make some extra money.

Lowe’s announced their plan to hire 46,000 seasonal employees to help customers through the spring and summer months. These months are the busiest for home improvement stores. Some of the positions they will be hiring for include cashiers, stockers, loaders, assemblers, and lawn and garden associates. This is 6,000 more employees than they hired last year.

Seasonal positions at Lowe’s receive a 10 percent employee discount, flexible hours, and the opportunity to secure regular part-time and full-time employment. With this many positions to be filled, there is a good chance that the Lowe’s near you is hiring. You can pick up just a few hours each week to earn some extra cash to put into those student loans or towards your next vacation.

Lowe’s currently has 232 new jobs posted on, but expect that number to rise soon. Other home improvement companies with a large amount of openings are Home Depot, with over 14,500 postings and Ace Hardware with 15 postings.
