Christopher R. “Chris” Sonnier is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, and grew up in Baton Rouge. An honors graduate of Baton Rouge’s Catholic High School, he received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Louisiana-Monroe and graduated from law school at Louisiana State University. Chris was previously associated with the McKay Law Firm in Baton Rouge where he discovered his passion for representing individuals and small businesses who have been harmed by others. Chris founded the Sonnier Law Firm in 2010.
Chris is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana and has successfully helped hundreds of individuals who were injured in auto accidents and while at work on land and offshore. He also handles cases for individuals who have been injured by chemical exposure, by taking dangerous medicines, and as a result of other dangerous conditions.
Married with two children, Chris is a firm believer in taking an active role in his community. He currently serves as President of the Louisiana School for the Deaf Foundation, as well as Secretary of the board of the Baton Rouge Soccer Association. Chris is a member of St. Aloysius Parish in Baton Rouge and is a former member of the executive Board of the St. Aloysius Men’s Club.
