Veatch Carlson’s firm roots date back to the 1950’s, when the current firm was founded by Wayne Veatch. By that time, Wayne Veatch had already been practicing for over 15 years and had begun to assemble a group of top notch trial attorneys designed to propel the practice into the future. Although personnel has changed over the years, the firm practiced under the name of Veatch, Carlson, Grogan and Nelson for more than 20 years. With the deaths of Steve Grogan and Jim Nelson, it was decided to simply shorten the name to Veatch Carlson.
Veatch Carlson, LLP is a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated firm with 64 years of litigation and trial experience. The firm is comprised of creative and experienced attorneys and supported by an energetic and competent staff. We assertively advocate for our clients and work to obtain efficient outcomes through beneficial settlement, trial or other resolution oriented strategies. We attract, recruit and hire experienced attorneys recognized by respected industry organizations such as the American Board of Trial Advocates, American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. Many of our starting attorneys are recruited from the top of their law school class and exhibit aptitudes and personalities suited to achieve success for our clients, the firm, and themselves in their growth as attorneys. Several members of our firm have taught law school classes and trial advocacy courses, as well as held lead positions in industry lectures and client symposiums.
As the firm continues to grow and expand, we have never forgotten our roots. We have never varied from the vision of Wayne Veatch, which was to provide aggressive representation for all clients, but to likewise always take into consideration that in the changing world we live in it is necessary to continually reevaluate all the variables that are brought into any legal dispute.
